Breaded hake fingers

Merluccius capensis / Merluccius productus

Frozen fish fingers made with hake (55%) in a crispy breadcrumb coating. Ready in 3–4 minutes straight from the freezer.

Made from formed pieces of fish.

Ingredients

Hake (fish) 55%, wheat flour (gluten), water, sunflower oil, wheat starch (gluten), yeast, salt and spice extract (paprika and turmeric).

Preparation

• Do not defrost.
• Fry a few pieces at a time in plenty of very hot oil (170–180 °C) for 3–4 minutes until golden.
• If there is ice on the surface, remove it with a cloth before frying and use a lid to avoid splashing oil.

Shelf life and storage

• Store at −18 °C.
• Do not refreeze.
• Once defrosted, consume within 24 hours.
